My hubby gave me an early birthday present - a watercolor a day calendar from Accord Publishing. This company also makes other terrific calendars such as quilt blocks, knitting, crochet, beading, etc. You can get on at Amazon.com 

I haven't taken any watercolor classes, so this may be tons of fun! I do have lots of acrylic time under my belt. It will be interesting to see if I can apply any of those techniques to this challenge.

This might be good for a good laugh! My goal is to try to paint my paintings as close to
their examples!

Remember I started late this year, I'll fill in the missed days as I can. This paper is thin, regular paper - not watercolor paper. It tends to wrinkle and get wavy as it gets wet; makes it a bit more challenging.

I use Pentel watercolor paints. They are bright, creamy and easy to use.

Sept 14 - washy still-life. My background turned not too great with the teapot. Oh well!  LOL

Sept 13 - abstract

Sept 11 - another Van Gogh inspired painting. These are easy and fun to paint - you just need to let each section dry before painting the area next to it.

Sept 6 - abstract

Sept 5 - I like this painting, although the tree trunks gave me a hard time.

Sept 4 - this was pretty straight forward.

Sept 3 - Boy does this look so much better on the computer than in person!
